Overview of the Curriculum
Safe Haven’s base curriculum is that of a Bible college . The curriculum is designed to increase the knowledge and application of every position and gifting in the Body of Christ. Whether you are a believer seeking more knowledge or if you have been selected by Christ to hold a fivefold ministry office, the curriculum will enhance your walk with the Lord.
Usefulness of a Degree from Safe Haven
In addition to adding to your faith, your ministry, and your walk with Christ, there are other benefits to a degree from Safe Haven.
1. A Safe Haven degree enables you to pursue higher or additional Bible college and “secular” degrees.
2. You can continue matriculating at Safe Haven earning higher degrees and certifications.
3. You may also apply to other religious institutions for higher degrees.
4. The degrees have enabled many to pursue employment opportunities in church-related and secular environments.
Hiring decisions and criteria are determined by the prospective employer so our school cannot make any guarantees.
However, we have seen the Holy Spirit open unique doors for our students. One Safe Haven student, a Registered Nurse by profession was told that she would be considered for a job position once she obtained her Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school, including Bible College. Other graduates have received positions as public school teachers, day care professionals, and a variety of different positions.
We have added new course offerings to the Bible College curriculum. One new class in the Bible College curriculum is the Master’s Degree or Certification in Ministerial and Pastoral Ministry.
We are also excited to add an additional tier our curriculum. This academic year we have been accredited to offer courses that combine traditional academic pursuits which will augment and include the Bible College offerings. These curriculum offerings are termed,
“Graduate and Professional Studies.” Presently, these degrees are in the subject area of Education.
The specific courses are:
• English Grammar and Composition
• Primary and Youth Education Ministry
• Introduction to Speaking Spanish
We believe that 2Peter 1:4-7 states the foundation of the curriculum accurately:
“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.”
